Was never meant to be a keeper, but I liked the idea of her mate as a shade-corrupted of the seraphim subspecies, named him Shemyaza after a fallen seraphim in mythology who was quite interested in earthly beauties as his downfall.

Almost sold Zantedeschia off but then I tweaked that interest into one nature beauty in particular - his queen. Now I'm keeping them so they can make me some nephilim of the seraph subspecies.

She is a refined beauty and they are mutually devoted to one another (a nod toward the white lily she carries and a portion of its symbolism). She does her best to help him with the shade corruption and his love for her keeps him present and aware.

Named for the official genus name for arum lilies (aka calla lilies) and carrying a white lily as a nod toward their deep devotion and commitment. Additionally calla lillies are said to "[Express] the idea of life and fertility, while on the other [hand] it's a well-known symbol of death." I feel this actually captures the duality I'm aiming for with this couple, entirely devoted to one another, tries to do the right thing, but doesn't always manage it while struggling with their shade-corrupted shadow selves. Sort of a power couple who thinks they're doing the right thing, but aren't always the good guys.

There are other applicable meanings and pieces of this mythology (Shemyaza and Zantedeschia together) but they don't belong on FR lol.

I might also play with rebirth themes, specifically, in Zantedeschia's case.

Though hatched in the wrong flight's territory, her mate - Ouza, as he was originally named, had a proud Seraphim heritage. He met his beloved Zantedeschia in light flight territory and the two developed a fast and passionate bond, entirely devoted to one another despite the protest of Ouza's parents (who are not the same as the dragons listed by the game).

Together they hatched a single, true Seraphim, but the rest revealed a previously unknown curse of the shade on Ouza. That infection has only gotten worse as time goes on. Zantedeschia seems strangely immune, but only on the surface. The two remain entirely devoted to one another and his corruption sings a discordant song through her as well, just under the surface (a nod to the fact she has a full body skin covering the same colourings and genes lol).

They do their best by their hatchlings but none of them since the first has turned out quite...right.

Her beloved chose the name Shemyaza after his parents (not the ones listed from someone else's lair), stole away with the single, true Seraphim hatchling and mercilessly cut her mate out of their lives like a nasty infection.

I may eventually figure out what Zantedeschia's parents are like.
