To whoever comes under ownership of this dragon:
Please bear with him. He isn't at all the best for a fledgling dragon caretaker. Even as a young dragon, Eldridge exhibited a very difficult personality. He was always fighting with the other hatchlings and stealing food for himself.
On the other hand, he is a reliable and very independent dragon, if a wee bit territorial... nothing in his mind is on equal footing with him, and as such, he feels it well within his rights to own everything in his life. Whoever you are, caretaker, there's no doubt he feels you a piece of property that dispenses tasty morsels whenever he feels hungry.
He has his good side, of course. When in his good graces, he can be very protective and loyal. Most likely it will be the other dragons in your clan who will benefit greatly from this. As long as you humor him and his grandiose personality, Eldridge will stay docile and obedient in according to what you have him do... as long as you put it in the form of a request.
One last thing: Be careful and close him off with whatever he eats. He does NOT like to share.
Here's hoping he doesn't tear you a new one.
Caretaker's notes:
Since his sons have grown up, Eldridge has calmed noticeably and has even begun sharing a tiny bit of everything he owns with every other dragon in the clan. He's taken a shine to all of the new female hatchlings, much to the ire of Zealoft, whom he nearly ate some time ago as he'd mistaken the Fae male to be an intruder.
Expects both his offspring to pull their weight in battle, and for the time being, guards their progress as warriors closely. He doesn't like it whenever their mother babies them and heals their wounds, as she forgets to tend to his own wounds when in a fight.
Addendum:
Recently, his already prideful personality has only gotten worse. While he hasn't exactly pushed his clanmates away, he isn't exactly the most pleasant dragon to be around. Despite this, his relationship with them, especially his immediate family, hasn't deteriorated in the least.
He is happily mated to another Imperial be the name of Honeydew, and together, he's fathered many sons and daughters who have gone on to other prestigious clans and begun living their own lives.
