Genna had a typical hatchling-hood. She was the first born to her parents and was their only hatchling, which left her wanting for nothing. Her early life was quaint. Genna learned the basics of how to take care of herself so that she could become an independent adult while also spending much of her time playing with other hatchling in her birth clan. As she grew older and could explore the world more and more, the young imperial hatchling's curiosity would grow. Many of her days were spent exploring the clan and area around it, even when it would get her into trouble, while her nights were filled with bedtime stories and imaginative dreams.

Of course her family worried for her, even as Genna grew into a young adult. The young dragon was known to get herself into potentially dangerous situations without realizing it. Her hobbies began including research, as she often journaled or sketched out her adventures for later. It was harmless fun... at first. But a chance finding of a dusty book on the supernatural forces soon took her down a much more dangerous path. Not that she was aware in the beginning, no, she thought it was just a bunch of superstition and fairytales. Genna loved them however and sought out as many books and scrolls like them as she could, soon amassing quite the collection alongside her own stacks of note filled journals.

Her first realization that she was messing with forces beyond her understanding was at least a tame incident. A simple case of stumbling across an area that was haunted by a mischievous but ultimately nice ghost. Genna had ended up with a few scrapes and bruises but otherwise unharmed. As shocked as she was about this turn of events, it did nothing to deter her from continuing to indulge her curiosity. In fact, this only spurred her on to search for more supernatural things.

Leaving her birth clan, Genna began following rumors and stories of the supernatural. It took her through various flights until she stumbled upon another imperial who was seeking the supernatural as well. At first, she followed him from a distance, journaling the travels as always while trying to be subtle about it. She was too meek to ask the intimidating dragon upfront to let her official join him. When she noticed a powerful dark entity beginning to follow her however, Genna grew aware of how alone and vulnerable it was to do all of this solo. After that discovery—and Cainwen definitely knowing about her essentially acting as his second shadow—she found the nerve to ask him to let her travel with him.

She'd gotten so deep into the supernatural that he'd caved. Genna was beyond thrilled to have a partner and tried her best to aid him in his endeavors. There were plenty of life and death situations the two went through despite Cainwen's attempts to shield here from them. Overtime, the two imperials grew closer and she found him finally being more open and trusting of her. Eventually, through all their adventures and his hesitations, the two became mates.

Of course, she was aware of his background and his fears. Genna was the first to strike up the discussion of hatchlings, thinking it'd be nice to make all of this a family sort of thing. Cainwen had been hesitant but after hesitations and discussing the matter, the pair settled down. She was a little disappointed that their hatchlings would need to leave as soon as they possibly could for their own safety but knowing their strengths gifted through their lineage, the imperial knew they'd be fine. In fact, she was positive expanding their bloodline would only mean great things for studying and defending against the unnatural forces that existed across Sornieth.

Relationships

Cainwen: Mate
A travelling companion turned life partner. Genna does all she can to help support him in his quest to learn about his curse and become stronger. The two share a bond of trust that is unbreakable after the dangers they've gone through, and continue to experience.

Lexx: First Born
Her daughter was their first born and nearly and exact carbon copy of her mother. Genna saw her leave early in life to make her own path in life as the same would happen with Lexx's nest-mates and other future siblings. She may not know much about what her daughter is up to but keeps her first born in a special place in her heart.

Null: Stalker
An entity that she first encountered after meeting Cainwen. Her mate explained that this creature has been following him for a while and once it latches onto a dragon they can't lose it. Null appears to be a cunning sliver of the Shade but approaching it is dangerous, as it has been known to attack. Its motivations are unknown but make it a clear threat.
