The next statue is being kept by a dragon that stumbled into my cave and somehow changed her own appearance when she was but a hatchling. She might be in a different cave right now. They became a rare breed - in fact one of the rarest, which I still don't know how to do. How that happened might forever remain a mystery! Their patterns and colours are very sparkly, it was a very magical transformation they had. Sodalite has strong magic in his blood - everyone can sense it, but no one was sure what it meant, or how he would use it. There weren't any mages in the clan to guide him. When Sodalite was old enough, he travelled to areas of strong magical energy - deep in the Tangled Wood, the peaks of Starfall Isles and amidst the broken marble of the Sunbeam Ruins. He gathered what knowledge he could, largely through instinct. He wasn't much of a talker, but he did ask the occasional question of a mage - dragon or beastclan. When he returned to the Gardens, he began to excavate a chamber for himself, apart from the rest of the lair and much deeper. He worked in silence and solitude until Ember came into his life and led her strength to his efforts. Sodalite's completed work cave is covered in runes, and he is skilled in conducting gene and breed changes among members of the clan. His cave rests on an elemental layline, giving spells conducted their extra potency. I like all the sorts of blue hues going together here and the green eyes are such a nice contrast colour but still super much fitting into the entire picture if that makes sense? also always a huge sucker of matching familiars! |
