Legends and myths are passed from dragon to dragon, in order to pass on important aspects of their culture and heritage. Xanthe has made it her mission in life to gather up these stories from across Sornieth, in the hopes of preserving them for longer. She is hoping to create a vast encyclopedia of dragon lore and make it available for anyone to read. But its a long and messy process; collecting the stories is a never-ending job and there's a never ending stack of paper to be properly transcribed onto vellum sheets.

As clan Matriarch and co-founder, Xanthe has an important duty to her clan. Clan members come to her for advice and guidance on private issues. Anyone can come talk to her about anything; she is a firm advocate of 'getting things off your chest'. Sometimes her clan duties can get in the way of her true passion and she can become antsy: but she always deals with the problem at hand before flitting off to find the next untold story.

When she needs a break from her busy schedule, Xanthe likes to spend a quite moment by the Crann-Glas, the Clan's Memorial Tree. She carefully maintains the tree, making sure the ribbons that represents the dragons that have left them are all in good condition. Remembering old friends is important to her for they are a part of her own story, the legend of herself and her clan.
