For Clan Solas, the Clan Administrator is the Leader in everything but name. Officially, the title of Leader falls to the Elders, Aula and Xanthe, but all the duties that would go with that generally fall to the Admin. Naturally, such a pivotal role requires the perfect candidate to fill it. Hadyn was selected to be that candidate and was given the best education and training the clan could provide. There is not a dragon in the clan that would argue against her being the Admin; she has the charisma, the intellect and the courage necessary to be in charge of such a large, rag-tag bunch of dragons. There’s just one problem: Hadyn has a very short attention span. If something is not interesting to her, then she wants nothing to with it. That includes paperwork and most of the daily duties that come with being Admin. Now, that doesn’t mean Hadyn resents her position; she worked hard to meet the standards laid out by the Elders and she takes great pride in her job. She just finds it difficult to focus on the boring bits when there’s so much more she could be doing!

To keep things moving, Hadyn was assigned a secretary; the fresh-faced, young Owl. She was resistant to this new arrangement at first until she realised that if she could avoid him for long enough, Owl would do her paperwork for her. Meaning she now had all the free time in world to pursue her other passion in life. Collecting. Or what anyone else would call ‘hoarding’. Hadyn loves to collect stuff, from shiny rocks to furry little creatures. Not all that unusual for a dragon but Hadyn’s interests change at the drop of a hat. She’ll be collecting precious gems one week and the next, she’ll switch to candles. There is no rhyme or reason to it; Hadyn just does what makes her happy.
