Biography
(Music for Dragons - "Wild Rose", Ellem)
(L25, general grinder (duo or trio).)
Mohala has been granted the title of Aide to the Battlemaster by Williwaw, first warrior and co-founder of the clan. One of Williwaw's own former students, the wandering Banescale Jagvara, holds the same title, and Jagvara once more serves as the senior aide; Mohala does not seem concerned to be bumped down to #2 upon her return from her duties as an emissary to another clan, but time will tell....
Unusually for many of his kind, this showily-dressed Pearlcatcher chose a warrior's path with zeal, and pursues it with flair. He is already one of the most skilled fighters in the clan, having trained under Battlemaster Azakar - enough so that Azakar grudgingly allows that his student is ready for students of his own. (At least, those whose chosen style of combat is similarly "irritatingly flashy" or whose personalities grate on the Mirror warrior a little too much.)
Mohala did not begin his warrior training under Azakar, but those earliest days were before he joined this clan of misfit dragons. If asked, the Pearlcatcher tends to go off on a lengthy ramble that does not tell much of substance, except that he and his first teacher parted over "a difference of opinion", and that he chose to strike out and seek a new clan and see new things, and new places. Are these two matters related? He has never quite said yes.
Mohala is outgoing, personable, and chatty by nature, and has made a great many friends in his new clan, including the bejeweled Imperial Ibisek, the crafty Spiral Mimilo, the star-lore-seeking Skydancer Starsong, and the impish sweets-thief Mirtila the Nocturne. Of late, he battles alongside both fiery Odile and cranky Azakar; he has been known to joke(?) that this pair of obsidian dragons make a wonderful backdrop for his far more colorful garb and hide.
Mohala is also ambitious, and prone to flamboyant - to the point of absurdity at times - maneuvers in battle. These traits would annoy his fellow fighters a great deal more than they already do, if they did not usually play out to their side's advantage.
He fights well with the aggressive Wildclaw Odile, but out of battle the two would not call one another 'friend'. The two are more likely to start a scrap with each other (which Mohala's sass probably provoked), especially where anything fermented is involved, did their larger clanmates not stand by to head off trouble.
