Lord of Trees
Leader of a highly seclusive race of forest-dwelling 'Sylvan' fae, Aldaron rules with benevolence, though he harbours a deep mistrust of all strangers, and entrance to his halls are forbidden without invitation. While he may be considered wise by his people, Aldaron does not trouble himself with happenings past the borders of his kingdom, and he has little interest in news from outside the Viridian Labyrinth.

King Aldaron and his folk dwell in a palace at the centre of a sprawling forest, the opening to which is protected by tall stone doors intricately carved with magical runes. With pillars of twisted tree trunks and a roof of golden boughs, the halls of the Woodland Realm are a vision of natural beauty, but few outsiders have ever laid eyes upon them, and intruders that find a way in do not find a way out again.

The years of isolation have given the Sylvan fae a rather narrow perspective, seeing themselves as above other dragons, and therefore never bothering to learn much about them. Aldaron and his kin may be knowledgeable about their own ways and the life of the trees and creatures, but the gaps in their world view may eventually be their downfall. Sornieth is changing around them, the great Elemental Shift started a chain of events that will one day be felt even at the heart of the dark forest; but by then it could be too late, as the other flights may have forgotten about the Woodland Realm altogether.
