Draconis Harpuia

Autumne is a botanist who specialises in cross-pollination, creating new species of plants and flowers. Preferring the earth to the sky, the harpy was born with weak wing muscles, and cannot fly for long periods of time.

Far From Home

Ezi4wLu.png
It was almost inevitable that in a land populated by a variety of sentient beings, there would come a time when a new branch of the evolutionary tree was created. Despite the bitter feuds that were regularly waged between dragons and Beastclans, there were those few who had found a way to live side by side, resulting in small colonies of hybridised species.

Autumne was born in one such community, the daughter of a dragon and a harpy, both of whom were farmers. Growing up, the nature-loving draconis harpuia worked in the fields and gardens by day with her parents, and in the evenings, she went searching on the hillsides for rare herbs and flowers to use in her botany projects.

One night when Autumne was away collecting samples, her colony was attacked by militant Purifiers, a group who believed that hybrids were abominations. The village was burnt to the ground and the inhabitants scattered, many missing or presumed dead. Fortunately, with the help and protection of neighbouring clans, the village was rebuilt and fortified, and the Purifiers hunted down and arrested. But the damage ran deep, and many residents still lived in fear.

Their daughter's delicate health weighed heavily on the minds of Autumne's parents, and eventually they sought out a safe lair for her to move to, where dragon and beastclan were welcomed and treated as equals. The Last Sparks welcomed the shy harpy into her new home, where she soon became a hard-working part of the gardening division.
