Biography
|Viatix, |Lord of Towers |
King of Luncarta | Pureblood "Let my siblings carry out their 'duty', I have more important things to do." |
|Past: |
|
While born in Luncarta, Viatix spent most of his young life in the Southern Icefields training to become a knight under the prior monarchy. This meant strict, rigid, and somewhat dangerous training as soon as he began growing into a young dragon, learning how to survive, how to fight, how to harness his elemental magic, and it meant being able to do so alone. Unfortunately, in being alone, no one was there to save him when he was beaten and thrown by a Yeti into a frozen lake, drowning as his body went into shock and sank to the bottom. Though he had absolutely died, he woke chilled to the bone in an unfamiliar cavern with a grizzly looking Gaoler sitting guard over his still damp form and a roaring fire. With the short explanation that the Gaoler had fished him out of the lake and to 'Thank the Icewarden' that he'd been revived, the mysterious figure wandered from the cave, leaving a dazed and barely conscious Viatix to dry off and drag himself back to his mentor's base camp. Many, many years later, when the prior King's life was coming to an end and with no family left to speak of, he summoned Viatix, his most loyal knight, and offered him his well earned place on the throne. |
|Personality: |
Viatix is a painfully stoic person with an intense determination to keep his city at it's strongest. Very little of his time is spent on himself or his whims, if he isn't signing documents, meeting with diplomats, listening to the concerns of his citizens, overseeing, speaking with his council, or judging an important trial, he's sleeping the bare minimum or eating a (small, quick...) meal. He is rarely idle and is quick to move on issues, meaning he has a hard time sitting still... He takes great pride in his work even on his worst days, but if there's one thing he detests the most about being King, it's the socializing. He could be a total recluse if he so desired, his city isn't dependent on him initiating discussion with fellow rulers and elders to function. However, it is beneficial to his cause of maintaining peace, keeps him in the loop of politics, and allows him to keep an eye on dragons that...concern him. If he seems rather blase about having so many strangers only a wing away from his personal quarters, it's because there really isn't any precautions he hasn't taken to protect against assassination attempts. Very few are allowed deeper inside The Spire besides, and every inch of it is monitored by the Crescent Guard. Being a ruler generally means not many people know much about one personally, but even amongst kings Viatix is a book so tightly locked only the Deities themselves would be able to unlock the whole thing. Of course his closest Crescent Guards and a couple on his council know bits and pieces, but it isn't much more than surface level observations and vague statements he's made in the rare, short conversations he's had with them, he isn't one for idle chat about hobbies and the weather. Under his sharp as a knife gaze and resting frown, he is a chronic bleeding heart. His benevolence is a well guarded secret, if it were to get out that he does most of the things he does not only for his city but for the benifit of anyone less fortunate than him...It gives him a migraine just thinking of all the begging and sucking up he would be forced to endure, or the vulnerabilities it might expose... |

|Extra Information: |
|
Unknown to most, Viatix is a powerhouse of magical capabilities and combat experience. Only the Crescent Guard has witnessed it, but Viatix, at great cost to his body, is able to manifest massive, devastating, and numerous ice spears and pillars from the ground from a great distance. Being a light dragon, this is odd. Doing this at a large scale or too often causes him great fatigue and can leave him vulnerable, if not completely bedridden for days. His body temperature runs lower than most, something only Sorrow and himself are aware of. It hasn't come up yet or been a problem for him, but Viatix is deeply discomforted by bodies of water he can't see the bottom of. He finds this mildly embarrassing. |

Long ago, in dramatic ancient times so long ago Sornieth didn't even exist, our bloodline was cursed. Up to the first generation, traceable by the mother on the mother's side. She was given a noble and yet brilliant task, to guard something of the utmost importance. However, she failed, and betrayed the Shadowbinder, and as punishment, she was told that her lineage would die out, and become no more. This broke her heart, but there was nothing to be done. Generations later, Moonweaver, my great grandmother, was born. She and her mate, Soulthief, saved our line. Together, they had eleven hatchlings, and begged the Shadowbinder for forgiveness, and forgiveness was given, under one condition. They couldn't have any more hatchlings. Like the dragon before her, Moonweaver was heartbroken, but she sacrificed this heavy payment, and now our line is saved. And now, we continue what they worked so hard to achieve, and myself and Moonknight, my beloved sister, are going to help continue our line for as long as we can.
