Imperial dragons are so named because they are the constituents of Emperors, roving ghost-gyres with many heads that, though they do not necessarily worship the Lightweaver, nonetheless are sprung from an echo of her divine essence.
What to most clans is a god is to some forgotten sects of Imperials a mere physical ancestor, unflawless and thus unworshipped, if still spoken of.
These are all beast-drakes, of course. No true dragon would ever say the Lightweaver had had children.

This individual is a slow and pensive creature, a scion of an authoritative if distant line who came to the ruins on a pilgrimage. He came seeking to chart the heavenly river of fire and dream on the right night, in the right place, of the deaths of the gods, in whose claws the pearl of the soul of dragonkind no longer rests, as they say in those very distant places.

He talks often, but mostly about nothing of much worth. It's all filler, wordriverrunning, but then, everything worth saying is in fact said by rain and by water over stones. There is very little mortal wisdom.

He has a name, like anyone else, but that name is not his name, does not belong to anyone. It is only the name of an ancient, lifegiving sea-spring, and that sea-spring is only where the first starstuff collided into the first soul. He has two living daughters. He will have others someday.
