Serpentkiss

Serpentkiss was hatched from an egg scavenged from the Reedcleft Ascent of the Windswept Plateau. Due to the nature of her egg being discovered, any possible parents and/or siblings are unknown. She was hatched by the mechanized scavengers who found her, and spent much of her early days bouncing around homes with clans in the Windswept Plateau. She continued to be traded further and further north until she ended up in the hands of the baseborn warrior, Gavriel. Serpentkiss briefly served under him, learning how to be cautious and perceptive. Eventually, she was sent from Gavriel to live with Critter, the Witch Queen, in the Driftwood Drag of the Tangled Wood. It was there that Serpentkiss was given great care-- plentiful food, nice baths, and many fluffy blankets! Although the young dragon was accustomed to moving around, for once she started to grow close with the dragons she lived with. She wanted to become like Critter, the kind of person who would take in a lost hatchling and treat them with love and care.

Once she had almost reached maturity, Serpentkiss decided it was time to continue her travels once more. She said goodbye to Critter and all of her friends, making plans to stay with a clan in the Shifting Expanse that had recently formed an alliance with Critter's clan. It was called the Routic Imperium, and the name intrigued Serpentkiss greatly. She had never quite been within the teritory of an Imperium, or any Imperium-like form of governing. It seemed to be a new experience for her, and the thought made her excited. By flight, the young and optimistic dragon made her way across the land...

The young and bright-eyed Serpentkiss soon made her home in the Routic Imperium, settling into a rather comfy abode built from the inside of a cave. Here, Serpentkiss began storing books she had collected from her travels-- starting with the box set Critter, the Witch Queen, had given her. It wasn't much, but it was a great start to what she hoped would be an amazing collection. Serpentkiss spent the first few weeks in the clan keeping to herself, reading up about the history behind forensic analysis and investigative journalism. She found herself fascinated by the process in-which dragons uncovered the truth behind mysteries that would have otherwise been unsolvable. Serpentkiss hoped to one day pursue this field herself, but found that she had no real pathway to get to that point. Filing it away as a childish dream, Serpentkiss focused less on her ambitions for investigation and tried to settle on taking on a more practical role within the clan. Once she started to leave her home and venture out more, Serpentkiss found that she was not very adept at being social amongst such a formal group of dragons. Nevertheless, she found solace in a group of dragons considered to be outcasts: the mysterious Zephyrbone and Ashenidol. The three of them quickly got along, ans Serpentkiss began to regard the two of them as her closest friends. She had trouble keeping friends in the past, never quite on the same wavelength as the other dragons. She was fascinated by their talks of military strategy, and she liked to explain to them her knowledge of investigative journalism. Many citizens began to know them for always hanging out in a different part of the clan every day, chatting away amongst themselves. The night of a particularly exciting party, Serpentkiss found herself falling in-love with the ever-stoic Zephyrbone. She was reluctant to make a move first, not wanting to cause any friction between her friends. Serpentkiss was scared of losing them more than anything else-- but she was also intensely curious to explore her feelings for Zephyrbone. When he asked her out, she decided to say yess. Unfortunately, this made Ashenidol the third-wheel in their friend group. Serpentkiss was worried this was driving the young Guardian away, but ultimately did nothing. She soon spent all of her time with Zephyrbone, planning to propose to him once he finished his schooling as a Paladin.
