ejmi0PU.gif History
Britannic was born to a wandering pair of Skydancers, who had made camp near the edge of the Shifting Expanse at the time. She had two older sisters, twins who had been hatched in the Ashfall Waste about two months before, and they were the only ones around when she hatched. The hatchlings' parents had gone hunting, assigning their older daughters to guard their newest egg. While on this hunting mission, however, their parents were killed in a skirmish with a local clan's border patrol, and then the dragons on said patrol stumbled across the makeshift nest and its three young inhabitants. Horrified that they'd just killed these hatchlings' parents, the patrol brought the trio back to their lair and adopted them into their ranks. They weren't given names, as this clan didn't do such things and instead addressed one another with nicknames based on appearances and skills, and Britannic was, for the time being, only known as little one.

Mere weeks afterward, most of the clan set off to visit the leader's family for the duration of the Crystalline Gala, something they did every year. Britannic stayed behind with the few dragons who stayed behind to guard the lair, as she was still too young to make the treacherous journey to the Southern Icefield. They came back, early, however - far too early. An avalanche had caught them off guard in the Cloudscrape Crags, killing several dragons. One such dragon was one of Britannic's older sisters, who had been swept away by the colossal torrent of snow. Her other sister was never the same afterward, her confident and adventurous personality replaced with a constant cloud of guilt and grief. She withdrew from the clan and from her surviving sister, who was still far too young to go without positive familial interactions.

Britannic grew up feeling neglected by her sister, who seemed constantly preoccupied with that fateful day and failed to show Britannic how much she loved her. Insecure and angry, Britannic used as many gene-changing spells and scatterscrolls as she could get her claws on, hoping that if she were beautiful enough her sister would finally pay attention to her. It didn't work, though, and Britannic became bitter and resentful towards both of her sisters; the one who had died as a hatchling bore the brunt of this resentment, as Britannic saw her as the reason their other sister had become so closed off and distant. Her anger showed through in her interactions with unrelated dragons as well: she was often prickly and hostile towards others, even if they tried to help her.

This hostility didn't serve her well in the long run; had she not been so confrontational toward the lone harpy she encountered while on a walk, perhaps she wouldn't have gotten into that fateful fight which cost her her life. The harpy, who was injured and alone, still managed to defeat Britannic, knocking her into a pool of water that had collected at the bottom of a sinkhole. She was knocked unconscious by the impact with the water, and the next thing she knew she was dead.
Information
Name // BRITANNIC

Personality // Britannic's personality is defined by her anger. Due to the neglect she suffered from her sister Olympic, she grew up into a bitter, unfriendly young dragon with serious self-worth issues and an attitude problem, but much of her anger has never been directed at Olympic. Sure, the relationship between the two is strained, but Britannic could never truly hate her oldest sister; instead, most of her resentment is directed at Titanic, who Britannic blames for indirectly causing all her problems.
-- Likes // Acknowledgement, attention
-- Dislikes // Being forgotten, herself, Titanic

Inspiration // HMHS BRITANNIC
Remembered today for being the younger sister of the ill-fated Titanic, Britannic, still incomplete, was commissioned as a hospital ship when the First World War broke out. Tragically, Britannic would never get to sail as the ocean liner she was meant to be: she sank after striking a mine in the Mediterranean and, like Titanic, would never complete an Atlantic crossing.
