Biography

23815.png EMBRION

alongside briseis, panacea, and verity

• There are 4 adolescent heirs blistering at Sallondon's claws, expected to take upon his machine when he finally dies, one day. This feat, fashioned especially for the not faint-hearted, was hung upon these poor worthless dragonet's shoulders the moment they hatched; this one is... surprisingly, a nephew of Sallondon himself, an experiment to see if his family were strong enough to inherit the honor of the machine themselves. But when Embrion was given a bath of magma at his hatching he squirmed pathetically and cried. From there it was quite obvious that Embrion was going to be a... unique case. In that same vein Embrion is a stark contrast of his uncle in every sense. Whereas the older, bigger coatl has brooding, dark scales and a sinister, loud composure Embrion is bright, floppy, pudgy, and sickly. His attitude is apathetic and whiny, when forced to do anything that requires effort Embrion has a never-ending string of complaints to accompany the activity until he's allowed to rest, but to him there is never enough rest; every other moment he begs for a break or a snack. Incessant is the absolute word to describe him... when not training as a heir he spends most of his time lazing around and binging on prey, and his extremely disagreeable and selfish personality makes him a genuinely unpleasant dragon to be around, nevertheless to tutor

• Embrion could not care less about this machine or his duty as a heir, nor is he depressed by it or his cirumstances. More or less he's a normal, grumbling dragonet that was mistakenly stuck in an extraordinary destiny. That being said he is Sallondon's biggest disappointment to date, so regarded with contempt by his uncle that the older dragon rarely looks him in the eyes, however this doesn't faze Embrion in the slightest. Greedy, pushy, and pessimistic, he's completely and utterly self-occupied and hardly redeemable, the only two things he holds value to being food and sleep. There is no sense of loyalty within him whatsoever. When approached by his fellow heirs Embrion is blatantly rude to them, often hissing at them to leave him alone because they're annoying or otherwise drowning them in petty insults. Likely, he'll never care for them. He's clumsy, sluggish, and his bumbling talons that will only bother to defend his pile of food. He's deliberately a nuisance, lying to other dragons often for just a laugh— this, his apathy, his whining, and his laziness can be a constant grating on one's psyche

• Morale is naturally killed around Embrion. He is kept far, far away from the public eye for this reason most of all(they couldn't know the nephew of Sallondon himself was so INCOMPETENT), hidden away with the rest of the 3 heirs, too unenthusiastic to even attempt escape. He regards the eventual fight to the death with his other heirs with an eye-roll and a shrug. Absolutely incapable of anything mechanical to the point where he breaks any machine he touches, uninterested in anything else. Embrion only desires a different life because he can't stand the dragons he's forced to live with. However, while he may be indolent Embrion is naturally stocky; when practicing fighting with the others he can easily knock them to the ground, which he goes about gladly, just so he can get back to doing nothing. He's bound to not fulfill any cause or purpose, surely... but if given a proper motivation(food, a few hours or even a lifetime of freedom from his stupid peers) he may be useful...

• So lazy and sluggish that he won't even bother to hunt for himself, Embrion enlists his familiar, of which he's rather uncreatively named Dinner, to drag extra prey back to him. The case with Embrion and Dinner is quite interesting, considering everything about Embrion's personality; the Bonepicker was wild, but Embrion at one point had seemed to casually tame it... how he went about this is beyond any other dragon
