Whisp cuts a mystical figure in her robes of dusky purples that billow around her as she races from task to task. She loves to have little magical effects playing about her—glowing balls of light, illusions of stars or glittering insects, orbiting crystals, and the like. She’s talented enough that keeping these going doesn’t usually distract her. Much. Her goal in life to become the best magician ever, although she’s a little fuzzy on what exactly “the best” means. What she loves most about magic are the dramatic effects—the colorful lights! the sounds! the objects flying through the air!—and the study of arcane principles is mostly just the way to make those things happen. Of course, magic can be useful too, but there’s no reason why it can’t be awesome at the same time. (Lakeisha sometimes grumbles that she might as well become a circus performer with that attitude.) Whisp adores her family with all the joyous force of her personality—it can be a little overwhelming for her mother, but at those times her father gently deflects her toward someone else. She and Faeatia have similarly high-energy, enthusiastic natures and can get caught up in a feedback loop of excitement, especially when it comes to special effects for a performance. Whisp tends to think the best of everyone, and for the most part she’s blithely oblivious to pack politics and interpersonal tensions. It takes an outright argument for her to notice that anything’s wrong, and then she's entirely baffled as to where the fight came from. She finds such conflicts deeply upsetting and immediately tries to insert herself into the situation as a peacemaker. She’s not insightful enough or patient enough to be particularly good at it, though. 
» Whisp loves tiny, spontaneous presents, both giving and receiving them. Big presents are great too—of course!—but there’s something special about coming across a little thing that makes you think of somebody and of how they might like to have it. Everybody in the pack has gotten at least one of these gifts from her. (Sometimes the significance of a particular item is mysterious. “Uh, thanks. It’s a...rock?”) | ********** |
