Hirshin

The son of the previous clan leaders, and the younger brother of the now-clan leader, Hirshin was born on the first day of the Starfall Celebration. The surge of magical, arcane energy of the arcane flight dragons in preparation for their festival affected his development while still within his egg's shell. The energy caused mutations to occur, and when he hatched, he surprised his parents with two sets on wings and odd eyes.

One pair of wings looked like golden stained glass, and the sunlight that glittered through them seemed to reflect in all sorts of directions and warp the light, while the other sets of wings had dark, plum coloured feathers, with a matching feathery crest on his head. His eyes were the same shade of dark, almost royal blue completely throughout, and his pupils were oblong and horizontal.

Despite his mutations, his parents did not hesitate to welcome their little son into the world with love and celebration. Afterall, to be born with such quirks is clearly a gift from the deities, especially with his birth being at the beginning of the Arcane festival. Because of his day of birth, his mutations, and his life thereafter, Hirshin dedicated his life to the study of elemental magic and the variety of mutation and anomaly that occurs because of it.

He remembered the day of his birth. How everything was once quiet and dark, peaceful even, and suddenly he felt a calling. A feeling unlike any drew him to break free of his shell. He was out of his shell, yes, but he still felt a calling. He was hatching in the nesting grounds, which were hidden in a cave in shallow waters. He may have only been the hatchling at that moment, but he felt the feeling filling him with strength, and determination. He crawled, feebly as a new hatchling would, but continue to crawl he did. It wasn't until he was at the cave's mouth, starring at the stars did he stop. The stars... the beautiful stars... and then the furious roar of his mother was heard.

Once the initial worry and rage of her missing baby was resolved, and the initial shock and confusion at his mutations, his life began. As he grew up, he chose to study and experiment in his clan. He's a rather anti-social dragon, though that's because he often forgets to leave his little lair because of all the work he does to further the known knowledge and science behind elemental magic. He is the local expert in the clan when it comes to anything magical, but also deeply dedicated to his mate Vykos, who lovingly reviews all of his studies and helps him with all of the paper-related work that comes with his endeavours.
