Chrysolix

Chrysolix is the youngest son of the previous clan leaders, and youngest brother to the new clan leader. When he hatched, he surprised his parents initially with his many eyes, but considering his older brothers already had been born with strange eyes, this surprise did not last long. From his youth, he was always lucky. Insanely lucky, where even in the worst odds he'd win a bet. Rumour has it that he has some ability to gaze into the future, but no one knows if it is entirely true or false, so a rumour it remains. With this ability or skill, he became quite the formidable gambler, and a fan of card and dice games.

Rumours also surround his charge. Is it a lover, whom no one knows about, that awaits for him to return from the sea? His silks and silver that he always wears? A traditional hoard of treasure and gems? Some item he keeps hidden, or a place with a special meaning? No one knows, and he's certainly not inclined to tell anyone about his charge so that whoever or whatever it is won't be in danger of being destroyed. Some believe it's just the sea itself, but the truth is anyone's guess.

He decided to live his life fairly nomadically out on the sea. He is an entertainer, dancing, singing, and even putting on magic shows, although he possesses no magic of his own, and they are all simply tricks of the hand, and of course running many a game of black jack and poker and anything involved with betting. Sometimes, he even gives tarot card readings and tells fortunes. Never has a fortune of his ever been wrong. All of this made him a welcome guest on many a ship, pirate and merchant vessel alike.

However, a life of this kind was not without it's altercations. Every once in a while, a drunken brawl might take place, or a dragon might be upset with their fortune, or a player might turn violent at the realisation of a particularly nasty loss. As always, Chrysolix had his luck, and with it, his immense stature. He is a Guardian after all, a muscular and large dragon who wouldn't run away from a little bit of a fight.

Sure, Chrysolix likes to wear silks and silver and shiny rings, but that doesn't mean he's some weak little princess who'll cower when a dragon raises their voice at him. He's actually quite used to it, since it isn't the most uncommon situation for him. All it takes is for him to pin them to the ground or a wall with the strength of his bulk with a single muscular, clawed paw to remind them how much of a bad idea attacking him would be. Rarely do these altercations persist after this moment. This also tends to lend him and his reputation more respect on the ships he visits.

Despite his love for his nomadic life, he makes sure to make time for his family. He brings them gifts from all over Sornieth, some tips from happy patrons who might have particularly enjoyed a dance or song, others being things he purchased while on the ships or at the occasional docking at a port. He only brings the finest gifts for his family, and though he doesn't tend to stay for too long or visit the most often, he makes sure that every moment spent with them counts. He loves them all immensely. No one insults or threatens or hurts his family without him knowing, and without facing the repercussions for it.
