Canons. Yelling. Explosions. It was all the last thing he heard before he blacked out. When he woke, he was on the shore. The chirps of seagulls and the soft thrum of distant waves offered their relaxing melodies to welcome him back. Slowly and carefully, he lifted his head. A low haze clung to his mind, wrapping around his thoughts and constricting them from flourishing. "Wh-Wha...?" He spoke softly. What happened...? A friend spoke to him. His brow furrowed, confused by the question. He looked around, his friend wasn't with him. "Where are you?" He questioned aloud. I'm here! The voice responded, as if it were obvious. Further confusion. He could sit here and ponder it...but honestly he just didn't have the patience for that. He heaved a sigh as he struggled onto his feet, wings spread out as he prepared for flight. He was going to need something special before he sorted through this mess. A captain always goes down with the ship. Despite being a pirate, Rodric has a powerful sense of responsibility for his crew. In fact, he died for his crew. While the Rodric you're looking at now is still indeed him, he's long since passed away. His body reanimated not long after his death through means he's got theories on, but he's not quite sure why. It has to have something to do with the voice of an old friend in his head though, right? He wanders in search of a new clan to call his crew, even if they might not be the sea-faring type.

He uses both versions of gendered terms but tends to prefer the feminine ones (Ms/Mr, woman/man, etc) • his crew still sails in whatever lies beyond life, waiting for their beloved captain to join them.
