Crossbones

((Clan Role: Trader/ Traveling Vendor/ Scavenger))

Only son of Bartholomew, Crossbones grew up in the deep, murky shadows of his father, and quickly learned how to get away with being up to no good. Though a very charming dragon, much like his dad, unlike him, as a hatchling he longed for adventure and pals, and of course, treasure. He's also become quite the infamous flirt! He hopes to one day accumulate more treasure than even the royal family! What an impressive feat that would be. A long time ago, Crossbones could only imagine the comfort of knowing riches, duels and ladies. Now he travels around, gathering riches, getting in and out of trouble, and more often than not, getting his butt handed to him by many irritated ladies.

For now, he makes do with running his little solo enterprise, playing around with his familiar, Skull, imagining scenarios in which he wins the day. Steals treasure to sell. Encounters an hive of angry familiars. Makes a daring escape! But he has to be careful. He has a knack for sticking his snout in places too dangerous for him. Alternatively, he's already tried breaking into the clan's hoard twice. He's been caught by Vestifer, and much to his displeasure, was punished with a week's breakfast of nothing but dandelions...

He is persistent and as a hatchling was a bit high strung, but he's made friends with a couple of other dragons within the clan, with Roger and Bell, being like older brothers to him. Though Janvier and him seem to have a sort of rivalry in their methods of chivalry. Although Crossbones is well educated, (thanks to all the books he would steal from the clan library, and even from Chipotle.) he still has much to learn, especially if he wants to be a good salesman. (Which I'm sure he doesn't, being such a big cheat and liar...and notorious flirt.)

Crossbones tends to flaunt his abilities and boast about his many escapes, often spinning tales much like Bell. It's obvious he's lying, but he likes to leave one little truthful detail wrapped in his fabrications, just to plant suspicion in those who listen to him. He likes to believe he is as innocent and honest as his father, though he knows the mischief he also gets into. Crossbones has made himself the clan's vendor, alongside Poblano. Though Crossbones is not into the peace, love, and colorful rocks business. He prefers to pilfer treasures, er, sorry, acquire treasures and trinkets to sell at altogether low prices.
"They're practically a steal", is his sale tag motto.

Though Crossbones can fool his mother into thinking his business is legitimate, (even being offered to sell her extra tea), he doesn't fool his father. Sometimes he can be a little irresponsible, and can butt heads with Bartholomew, calling him out on his hypocrisy. He still loves his dad. But he does NOT love it when he happens to visit his vending cart unexpectedly, stealing the breath from his lady dragon customers!

Crossbones has absolutely little standards and boundaries when it comes to lady dragons. He will flirt with most dragon ladies his age, but he is not above some flattery and playful teasing of older lady dragons. Though some of the ladies he flirts with are in no way interested, and some even annoyed by him, he doesn't seem to care. He'll even flirt with lesbian dragons. Though he takes the greatest interest in lady dragons that shimmer, glimmer and shine like treasure, he also seems to enjoy cozying up to tough warrior ladies, and others that are WAY out of his league. He might appear to favor skydancers, but in actuality, his preferred lady is simply female. Male dragons tend to sometimes flirt with him, but he sadly just can't reciprocate. However advancing and villainous Crossbones appears to be, chasing tail when he isn't trying to chase treasure, he does have a softer side.

He'll break rules and hearts, but he won't break his own integrity. He knows when to exercise gentleness and restraint and give comfort and respect. He's not a total sleazeball. But he is one handsome dastard of an imperial.

Another fun fact about Crossbones; he's very very good at puzzles and puzzle games!
(Oh, and he thinks ocean critters are revolting, so he's not a big seafood fan, unless it's been burnt to a crisp...still, it doesn't mean he won't sell fish to any sea-faring customers.)
