Bartholomew

((Clan Role: Trader/ Diplomat))

Bartholomew is a lively dragon with such personal wealth.
He is hearty and proper, but has a mischievous side.
He isn't too impressive, but likes to appear convincing as an authority and strong dragon.
Though he is seemingly less active than Kidd and the antithesis of Morgan, and would make natural enemies with him,
it cannot be further from the truth.

Thick as thieves, (which they are!) the three are inseparable best friends. They get along better than they get along with most of the other dragons in the clan. Morgan is the butter to Bartholomew's croissant. And Kidd is like his own adopted, well, kid. Bartholomew however already has a son, Crossbones, whom he is always happy to take along with him for his "expeditions." (Although he plays pranks on him from time to time, such as marooning him on an remote island for a week...just for "fun".)

As Crossbone's father, he seems to actually be glad to have such relations realized by other dragons. He knows his son's foolish game, because it was once his own. Unfortunately for Crossbones, many of the lady dragons he encounters seem to prefer Bartholomew's company more. Though charming and flirtatious on his own, Crossbones is nowhere near the suave gentleman captain his father is. It seems he still has much to learn and Bartholomew is pleasantly reluctant to teach him any more. As debonair and swindling as Bartholomew is, outshining his travelling son, he is not uncaring.

The captain trio takes great care of their own blood, and is like a family all their own. Roger, Crossbones and Janvier are most familiar with one another as a result of their own father's friendships.
Likewise, Bartholomew contributes to both Kidd and Morgan's company and their shenanigans.

Bartholomew is not as sneaky as Morgan, nor as clever as Kidd, being much larger and more noticeable. But he IS much more dignified and silver-tongued, able to talk his way into and out of everything.
Including striking many conversations with both Voelcifus and Vestifer, coaxing treasure in and out of the clan's vault.

Though, not to worry!
As conniving and tricky as he is, Bartholomew contributes to the clan and its inhabitants, and remains loyal, despite his original clan's element. He can often be seen around Morgan and Kidd, so be careful around them. If something shiny on you is spotted, Bartholomew may attempt to lull you into wanting to give it to him.
