- Much like his name would suggest, delights in being as big and soft as possible, gets very sad when the weather gets warm and he sheds his thick winter coat

- Is always at the bottom of a cuddle pile so other dragons can also appreciate his softness

- Likes sitting and reading books in his spare time, has to wear glasses to read properly but doesn't like others seeing what he looks like with them on because they're enormous and he's had them for a long time so they've seen better days

- Has scheduled naps at least twice a day most days, makes a good snuggle partner

- Has an extreme fear of finding lots of bugs living in his fur, cleans himself often to make doubly sure it never happens

- Likes bright blue and purple colors the most, prefers his home environment to be deep and vibrant color-wise

- Clacks his claws together repeatedly as a nervous habit or when he's deep in thought

- Really enjoys theatre performances, loves seeing the vibrancy and energy of actors in their element

- Aspires to work in the industry himself someday, but is content with doing more busy-work jobs until then

- Likes how pale his fur is because it's easier to tell when it gets dirty so he can keep it clean

It was Winter, a time much debated over by dragons across Sornieth. Some despised its cold, bitter chills and early coming darkness, while others relished the chance to enjoy warming hot cocoa and snuggles by the fireplace. Fluffy was one of those dragons who loved it, and watched the flakes of snow in a gentle amazement from their cosy place at the window. For him, the season of cold was the time to make others happy and share his talents of kindness and warmth. Sometimes when the sun was shining and dragons basked in a warm, natural glow, he felt just the tiniest bit lost, as though his whole purpose was to be the plush dragon who handed out cuddles when it snowed. But in the Winter, he felt alive, and satisfied that he was important.
It was on one such Winter day that he and Perseus were snuggled up with a warm and steamy soup, telling stories and jokes and having a blissful time. Fluffy breathed in the warm scents of the room, and smiled up at Perseus. Everything felt homely, and perfect, exactly how it should be.
A thump outside drew Fluffy's attention away from the snug scene. Another thump, and he reluctantly rose from his place by Perseus' side, who gave him a puzzled look.
The two gaolers made their way to the window and stared at a set of tracks in the snow. A small, black and white, creature was hopping around outside, occasionally blundering into the wooden cabin walls and making a little thump against the planks.
"What's it doing here?" Perseus asked with a frown.
Fluffy stared at it in adoration. He didn't know why, but he found it absolutely adorable. Perhaps, he thought, it was because he was bonding with it. He'd heard of dragons who, upon seeing a creature, had almost fallen in love with it at first sight. This was called bonding, and when that happened, most would catch the creature and keep it as their familiar.
"We have to catch it! And keep it!" Fluffy announced, beaming at the thought of a lovely new companion.
Perseus raised an eyebrow.
"Ah, I know this sounds crazy but just look at its face! Those ears! The fluff!"
"Alright, I guess it is cute. Hurry, though, it's almost dark."
"You're not coming?"
"I would, but you'll be cold when you get back, so I better stay to keep things warm and cozy."
Fluffy was disappointed, but nodded, grabbed a warm coat and scarf, then headed out into the swirling snow.

He could feel the daylight fading and the world descending into darkness, but Fluffy pushed on through the snow with happy thoughts of his soon to be familiar. The tracks were fading, hard to see in the constantly dimming light, and being slowly filled in by the shower of snow. Frosty ground crunched under his aching paws, but Fluffy bravely hurried through the forest until he had almost caught up with the hare. It had stopped, and was huddled in a small clearing looking utterly lost and alone. A wave of pity rose in Fluffy's heart and he bounded towards it. The hare sensed him coming and twitched its nose in a tired exclamation of fear, but too exhausted to run, it sat there and waited for what was sure to be the end. It was a huge surprise to the tiny creature when, instead of eating it, the shaggy white gaoler enveloped it in warm fur and carried it back to the safety of a cozy log cabin with a blazing fire.

Fluffy and Perceus spent the rest of the night sipping hot cocoa with plenty of marshmallows whilst petting their new friend, who was now content to snuggle up on the sofa beside them, and Fluffy felt glad he had followed the hare into the cold. He had done something good - he had saved its life. And that, that sparked a warmth inside him like no other.
