"I live and breathe art, the only thing it comes second to is my family"

Ah, Aramore, a bustling tourist attraction in the beacon of the radiant eye, and the place Perseus used to call home. During his time here he made many friends, and he came back to spend time with them often. This was one of those times. This visit was set up by Taffy, a colorful Tundra with a personality that matched, and Perseus’s very best friend.
Perseus rolled his eyes in exasperation before returning them to his Tundra friend.
“C’mon man, it was funny!” Taffy exclaimed as his cheesy joke failed to land. Cheesy jokes, Taffy was always making them, as long as he had known him anyways. Taffy’s first words to him was a joke about them having matching coats. Though Perseus felt like anyone could have a matching coat with a rainbow Dragon.
“So any new clan mates?” He asked the obvious question, the town had grown significantly since the two of them were hatchlings.
“Of course! There are so many, but there is this one new Goaler in town. He has started up an inn and is making pretty good buisiness, he seems sweet.”
Perseus had stopped paying attention, Taffy was always trying to set him up with other Gaolers, so the moment he heard the word he tuned him out. Now he was focused on finding a nice place that overlooked the sea so he could paint. Painting was his passion, and he loved to come back to the beacon to paint the scenes.
They came upon the center of the town just as something small slammed into Perseus’ side. Lumina, a small spitfire of a Wildclaw.
The hatchling pushed herself up and shook off “Get out of my way next time!! You old Ogre!!” “Maybe you should learn respect.” He growled. The little Wildclaw scurried away, leaving a big ball of fluff in her stead. Fluffy. Perseus was growled at and then left to Taffy.
“So that’s your sweet new Gaoler.” He scoffed. Turning his scrutinizing gaze back to Taffy. From there he left Taffy and decided to see the growing city on his own, he walked a couple of blocks before seeing a large purple tail disappear into a doorway. He knew that tail.
“Adephon?” He called. The Gaoler hurried after her, even peaking into her house a bit. He jerked back as her large teeth snapped inches from his nose.
“Perseus?” She mumbled. It seemed the Guardian didn’t realize it was him. He had met her shortly before the end of his stay in the infant city, she was just a hatchling herself then.
“You’ve grown a lot” “Are you calling me fat?” She laughed, her laugh was deep and seemed to rumble in her chest.
“How’d you end up here? Did you get away from your boyfriend?”
“Taffy isn’t my boyfriend.” He sighed.
“If you say so, make yourself at home. I have a clutch to tend to.” In the main area of the structure there was a nest of all kinds of blankets and pillows, trinkets too. There were three eggs huddled up together in the midst of it all.
“Who’s the unfortunate soul that helped you make these?” Before the Guardian had another chance to snap at him a little Spiral popped over the back of one of the eggs.
“That would be me!!!”Perseus jumped, the hair on his tail standing on end from the scare. The Gaoler huffed and the happy pair laughed at his indignant expression. They continued to visit until Perseus eventually went out on his own again.
He found somewhere nice to paint and started a nice scene of the ocean. He spent the last hours of light painting, and while he was he noticed that fluffy white Gaoler from earlier, the one that had growled at him. He furrowed his eyebrows, what was he doing down on the beach?
Eventually he went back into the town looking for a place to stay, this is where he once again ran into Taffy and that Fluffy dragon. The fluff ball approached him with a basket full of goodies, some sweet cakes, shells from the beach, and flowers. There was even one flower that appeared to be more of a pet than a plant.
“Here, I’m sorry I growled at you. Taffy explained that you weren’t just picking on Lumina like I thought.” He handed Perseus the basket.
“If you need a place to sleep, I have an inn I’ve started down the road. I would be very happy if you decided to stay there.” He bowed his head a little bit.
“No need to be sorry, I understand how you could have misinterpreted it.” He grabbed his painting of the sea and handed it to Fluffy in exchange for the basket. He felt weird getting something without giving something in return.
“You can have this, what’s your name anyways?” He had yet to hear this fluffy white Gaoler’s name.
“It’s Fluffy.”
“What?” He stifled a laugh.
“My name, it’s Fluffy.”
“Fluffy!!” He burst out into a fit of laughter. “Who names someone Fluffy??? That’s like if they named me Splotches!!” He couldn’t help himself.
Fluffy frowned for a second then rolled his eyes and smiled “Well, come on Splotches, I’ll show you to your room.”

Dearest Perseus,

Surely you know that speaking this to me would have been easier. You have caused me to have to wear my glasses, and we both know how I detest that. But neither here nor there.

Perseus, I find myself thinking of you every waking moment. You have no idea how many times I have called Taffy, Perseus! I think he is starting to catch on…

The truth is I have feelings for you too, a love so strong that even this distance between us does nothing to deter it.

So this is it, we’re finally making it official. From now on I promise myself to you, so that we may hold and protect each other’s hearts for eternity.
