Every morning, as dawn spills across the sky, Parcy sets out into the woods that encircle the Tabemono clearing. She walks the overgrown paths until the air feels right: breathless, tender, and muggy. Then she settles down on the ground, tunes her lute, and begins to strum. Parcy is a spritely character, all emphatic gestures and glowing smiles. She diligently practices her playing and vocals when she should be recording her sophomore album. It's been four years since her debut, her agent's increasingly frantic letters remind her; still, she can't bring herself to slap a dozen songs together and call it a day. Her themes are scattered, her sound inconsistent. What she needs is a surge of artistic growth. Inspiration is right around the corner, waiting to meet her. Parcy can feel it. Inspiration's call drew her to Nature territory in the first place. With a little help from Ramu, Parcy found and fell in love with the Tabemono settlement. Woodsy terrain suits her indie vibe perfectly. Parcy has a clear voice, quick as water, with a subtle growl she slips into now and again. Her lyrics are hard to make out, their meanings clouded and abstract; yet her clanmates find them oddly familiar ... Unbeknownst to the Tabemono, Parcy keeps a strange secret. Ever since she set foot into the Nature territory, she has fallen asleep only to surface in other dragon's dreams. Unable to leave, she winds up overhearing her clanmate's incredibly private fears, hopes. This weighs on her conscience; on the bright side, it also invigorates her songwriting. Parcy's endless patience and sympathy for her clanmates are her way of making up for these unintentional breaches of privacy. |
