Pride was not at all affected by the plague. As an animated plushie, he has no way to get infected. It was something he was thankful for when the plague came. And, truthfully, he did not mind when Schatten fell ill as she was the one who animated him, something he had never asked for. Existence is boring and dull to him. Not to mention that she used her magick to force him to do whatever she requested. Thus, when she fell ill and her magick weakened, he was thankful for it. Throughout the time of the plague, he spent his time in Nightcrystal's library, keeping her company up until she too became sick. For Nightcrystal, he felt sad as he was losing a companion, someone whose company he enjoyed. For the remainder of the plague, he spent his time with Cipher in the library. |

When Schatten died, the magick that kept Cipher tethered to this plane no longer persisted and so Cipher also finally passed on. Though, she was happy that she could finally, truly be with Schatten. However, Pride mourned for neither. He couldn't bring himself to scourge up any sense of sorrow. The plague persisted up until the last dragon who'd caught it had died. Only then did it stumble to a stop. With no new cases for some time, it was declared safe to go outside and a clan meeting was called. During the meeting, Acal tried to asert his claim to leadership after the death of Iceflame alongside his mate Serafina. However, Ilar challenged him for that claim. When sides began being drawn, Pride found himself unable to truly care about who became the new leader. Acal was someone he would consider a friend so he chose to side with him. Additionally, with the passing of Nightcrystal, Pride took charge of the library, being one of the few to care about it over the matters of leadership. |
