maybe corrupted, just a little bit, but it's not the fourth dawn anymore, it's the sixth, and purity is just an old-fashioned statement.
he walks up to her, asks her name, and she... stares at him.
blank eyes, framed by thick eyelashes, and irises, blown out.... and empty.
he could've been talking to a fish.
but she's not a fish, and she begins talking to him.
slow, like he's a newborn calf learning to walk,
and he has to lean forward to hear her voice,

he follows her, of course. follows her through wind and rain, and through days when his hunger claws at his insides, through days when his paws feel raw and bleeding. he looks at her and notices she takes no note of it. he's not quite sure what she believes in. she claims a leader speaks through her. he thinks maybe she is perhaps crazy, and thinks all her messages are her own.
yet, the way she speaks is enrapturing. she speaks with soul, and even he, young as he may be, recognizes power when he sees it. he fights off enemies for her vacant stare, but sometimes they come across something more powerful than the both of them. yet it doesn't seem they want to attack her. her cold eyes are alight with dead fire, and it screams danger, even while her paws lay closed uselessly around her pearl. he holds his firmly and hisses, bares his wings at every large being set out to destroy them, but it's mikados eyes that stop the danger in their tracks. it's mikados eyes that pull him back every time he wonders if he should leave this cold cold god, this cold god who loves in riddles and light. she glows, she glows she glows. he covers his eyes but over time his eyes fail him. his eyes can't see anything less bright than she. the world fades away, and everything is dark in comparison to her. she has created her own god, and she is the only light that can be seen now.

Tenno cries at a god he doesn't believe in. He finds a Flattail at the riverside and tries to help it. Untangles its tail, washes its fur, and sets it back off to the river to be free. He watches it wander into another net. "How pitiful," he thinks. Tenno walks into his own net, one weaved of Mikado's eyes and words. "She loves me," he thinks. He watches the Flattail get stuck again. |

I was accepted into the Mage's Academy! Once I arrived, I was shown to my room which had a whole wardrobe of apparel I could chose from to dress up in! I think I look very handsome.
Miss Gigi is a hard teacher. She's such a perfectionist. I can't believe I'm actually doing well in my class with her breathing down my neck. She criticized every fold when I showed her my paper dryad today, what a squeeb! I can't wait for my next instructor because this one makes me want to throw my pearl! [LVL ACHIEVEMENT: 3!]
I fought off a whole Janus-trap today! With help of course, but it was getting in the way of my feather foraging so I konked its kooky heads together! I think I'm shaping up to be quite the warrior, even if Miss Gigi says my footing is sloppy and my strikes are uncoordinated. I'll show her!

Professor Pisces took us out today. He's a strange fellow, always wants to go galavanting off into some obscure part of the wilderness. I'm not quite sure I can trust this scatterbrained 'scholar.'
