Cloud didn't know what happened. One day, everything was fine. The next, there was full blown panic among the dragons of the clan. Oriana had started coughing a lot and was unable to keep any food down, not to mention that moving around was a struggle for her. Cloud did her best to continue her duty of helping her mistress, but soon Jemisha, her mistress's mate, took her mistress away and wouldn't explain anything to Cloud. After Oriana was taken away, Jemisha began to grow distint. Sometimes she would seek Cloud out and Cloud would keep her company, but other times and whenever she asked after Oriana Jemisha would shove her away and isolate herself. The isolation was a concern for Cloud as Jemisha refused to set foot outside the den. Due to this, Cloud took it upon herself to go out and gather food and water for her mistress's mate. |

Whenever she went outside, she noticed that others also seemed to be isolating themselves, aside from one den where a lot of coughing was coming from. She wondered if that was where Oriana was. As time passed, Jemisha seemed to grow worse. She'd begun sleeping away the days and only spending enough time awake to take care of her basic needs and only when Cloud urged her to do so. One day, though, Jemisha just stopped. Cloud's worry increased exponentially at this, fear filling her non-existent heart. When Oriana had started seeming unwell, Jemisha took her away. Would someone now come to take Jemisha away? Cloud continued trying her best to look after Jemisha, not matter how many times the other turned her away. It took some time for Jemisha to get better, but even then Cloud could see she was not as she was before Oriana left. After that, the clan emerged from their isolation. Cloud found herself confused to see only nine from the clan there and everyone seemed to be unhappy, much like Jemisha. She didn't understand when Acal said he would be the leader now nor when Ilar challenged him. Jemisha, though, seemed to know what to do and so Cloud followed her lead. |
