Oklahoma is quite the old woman. You see… she is actually among the eldest in her clan. When she was a child, she was about as adventurous as a million hatchlings combined. The forests were her home, and she found the flora and fauna around her to be old friends. Her god of choice to worship was Leianran— god of life— and she could truly feel the connection, as if he walked alongside the earth with her.

When she was just finished budding into adulthood, however, she became rowdy and a lot more rebellious from her parents. Why should she have to create potions if she could dance carefree-like in the winds? As she ran into the woods as refuge, she noticed something— green. A green spiral. It was such a copy of the Leianran that nearly spooked her and, in her nature, she confronted it.

”Why are you pretending?”

No answer. Only bright eyed the hue of pollen peering into her own.

“Did you hear me, why are—“

“You can tell?”

Oklahoma’s eyes widened. Could she
tell? Obviously she could! Someone was certainly mocking him. Her parents must have hired an outsider to cease her leaving and going back. She was an adult now, a flower that had bloomed. Couldn’t they understand that she didn’t need a false god to lure her back in?

Her voice lowered, a soft growl hurling from her chest. “Of course I can tell. What else would it be?”

He left, and quickly. For years, Oklahoma never saw it again: she got onto her parents about it, but she was simply ignored. As a much older woman, she found herself enraptured by the upcoming children after her, especially looking to take care of the then-teenagers Volyno and Amani. She took Amani in as a pupil, and Volyno as her honorary child. All was well. She even forgot about the experience. She made up with her parents right before they passed. It was as if she had a new life.

Until she saw him again.

It had been 60 years, and he looked exactly the same.

She pretended as if she had no idea, but in truth, she knew what happened. She was in the presence of Leianran, the god of life. But she didn’t want him to leave, like he must have before in her confrontation. Instead, she introduced him to the clan. She acted as if she didn’t remember a thing, and befriended him.

But she knows her god has came for them, and it is her hope that he will protect them.

80631783p.png LESTER ( Friends) - “Ah. Is that any way to greet an old friend? I’m just playing with you, child. You’re welcome back here any time. I’d love to give you a little secret on my recipies!”

72192597p.png SORA (Acquaintances) - “Sweet girl… please, don’t feel like you’re ever a stranger here. I’m always here to offer guidance.”

82777580p.png VOLYNO (Grandson-like Figure) - “Volyno, you are the epitome of protection. You are just like your father in your willingness to protect our home. Though I do ask that you come to dinner with me. It can’t be healthy to patrol day in and day out on the borders.”

84207858p.png AMANI (Pupil, Successor) - “There is a lot to learn, dear girl. It will take time, and practice, but eventually, you will prosper. Until then, I’ll make you tea.”
