I5p64Yz.gif Alder was too young to remember how his parents died. For the better, he thinks. From what he has heard, Luminax obliterated them both with a single beam of wind energy right in front of Kida's eyes, his adoptive mother. She never forgave herself for this, although Alder reminds her almost daily he loves her, considers her his real mother, that she did all she could. He hates the destruction and grief Luminax brings wherever he goes. So Alder made it his mission to plant life where Luminax had sown death. His attempts often fail; only a few crops get the chance to sprout. Even less make it to the harvest stage. By now, most dragons would have given up on gardening in the wake but not Alder. There is already so little life left here, he cannot just let the rest die as well. Besides, if he and his best friend, Princess the Fae, don't take care of the fields, who will? The clan cannot survive on gathered plants only and the healers need herbs to do their wonders.
As long as he has his friends and family, Alder will keep going on, so that one day, when the terror will finally be over, he can see his mother smile for the first time.
