Kida

the ancient guardian of emperor's wake

How long has she been in the Sunbeam Ruins? Kida doesn't remember. She knows she is old, ancient even. With the years her body turned into stone but she keeps fighting on for she is a Guardian and this is her charge. What she remembers, however, is how the clan was founded.
For years on end, the guardian had lived and fought in the Emperor's Wake. When Luminax started his rampage, Kida had awoken from a deep slumber. She didn't know who she was or where but the sight of the emperor gave her purpose. She knew, someone had to protect this land and so she took it upon herself to fight for the Ruins. Day and night she monitored the monstrosity's movements and fought against him whenever he came too close to stray dragons or the lairs of other clans. Only when Luminax was far away from civilization or other dragons helped her out, she allowed herself to rest.
Then, one day, she spotted a smaller dragon in the air. Nothing unusual per se but something was off about them. It was a mirror, a species known for staying on the ground. Yet this one soared through the skies. She flew closer to warn them about the doom ahead and that she would protect them. The mirror who introduced himself as Chastain however, denied her protection but instead offered to help her protect this land. Kida was not overly fond of that idea; Chastain was half her size and although agile, not particularly strong. Still, she allowed him to stay. Someone who could escort other dragons to safety or provide food was always needed.
Despite her initial doubts, Chastain proved to be a valuable ally. Within weeks the two of them grew close and founded the Clan Emperor's End. Since then they have raised and adopted multiple children and recruited dragons from all over the continent.
