Haven's love for treasure and shiny things started when she was a child. Her parents gifted her a mobile made of gems and treasure that she would play with and stare at for hours in the den. When she was old enough to wander around, she would rush to the edge of the Sea of a Thousand currents just to see her scales shimmer and shine in her reflection.

Desperate to gather more and more treasure in any way she could, she learned to be a silent thief and fighter using throws of her fan at whip-like speeds. She garnered treasure quickly, and grew more brave, doing her own silent raids in different lands of Sornieth.

As she soared through the skies to find her next looting victim, Haven flew past the Windswept Plateau, extremely drawn to the glittering lanterns and kites that glided amongst the cloud. She swooped down lower to snatch one of the lanterns, but quickly got pulled down by the Twisting Crescendo.

This wasn't good. Just along the shoreline where she crashed down were lines of Windsinger guards, ready to attack her. She got back on her feet, flinging out her fan to hit just enough guards to make her escape, but it was no use. She was surrounded, and she had to fight if she wanted to get out. She fought her way through five, ten, then twenty dragon guards and took off... only to be met with Helios, the 10-meter tall Imperial who quickly bound her with chains and took her in for capture.

"Because you have trespassed on Windsinger territory, the only proper punishment is death," Helios said sternly. "However... Your fighting skills are phenomenal, and I was quite impressed by how many of my guards you took out on your own. I'll let you live, but under one condition." "And that is?" Haven asked, curious. Helios smiled, removing her chains. He held a hand out to her, saying, "You fight for my flight instead."

Haven slowly took his hand, then looked up at him, admiring his armor. "Does the warrior position in your flight come with the shiny helmet?"
