Biography

Glaucus - The Pelagic

Personnel Infobox wrote:

Name: Glaucus

Designation: The Pelagic

Role(s): Technician (Water), Veterinarian (Aquatic)

Field(s)/Specialt(y/ies): Aquatic Animal Health, Water Quality

Other: Helps maintain water quality, and is often found drifting around the various pools in Moana's workspace, occasionally checking in on injured sea creatures.

Poison can act as a mild sedative.

Has aspirations of becoming an aquatic veterinarian. Has undergone training and become an aquatic veterinarian.

Quite sensitive to changes in water quality, and will sound the alarm if something is off.

Trails water everywhere whenever he goes on land. Towels are useless - they're completely soaked through within minutes.

Was of diminutive stature as a hatchling, and remains diminutive despite being fully grown. Asclepius hypothesizes this is due to their subspecies.

What looks like a 'cloak' is actually part of his body.

This dragon is a member of the Water flight subspecies Glaucus Atlanticus and meets the very specific genetic and coloration criteria set forth by that flight.

A pelagic species, these dragons go wherever the currents take them, living on a combo of rafts made of woven together kelp mats, and just floating on their own. Most have poisonous spines, which they use to catch food as they drift.

Due to their wandering ways, they occasionally pick up treasures that they trade with land-bound dragons. This can be hard, as many of the clans get 'land sick' and have a hard time when not on the sea. This is where the spine-less dragons come in. As these dragons cannot catch food for the clan, they're often sent to live on land for at least part of the year, so that they don't have 'land sickness' as they grow older, and can act as ambassadors/traders/merchants for the clan.
