Biography
Crescent
Uh-oh, looks like this witch wandered a little too far from his/her home lair (#435200 pokemoncha), and now s/he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, s/he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him/her to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but s/he would be very grateful!

"Forgive me- I cannot stay. The world calls out for me, and I shall heed its call." "I never quite got why my card was Temperance- but looking at my life now... I understand." |
She gazed at the egg that came before her yet had stubbornly stayed intact. She wondered what her sister would be like, how she would act, how she would conduct her own magic. Crescent had no qualms about competition, but there was an itch, a restlessness deep in her chest, perhaps even eagerness to finally see her sister. She looked up her father, Beltaine, and the older dragon leaned down to nuzzle his 'first-born'. "Is she coming out soon?" Crescent asked softly. The itch in her chest had not smothered; almost making her shiver in eagerness and curiosity. "Will she even like me?" Zelievna, her mother, chuckled softly and swept her wing over Crescent's. "Of course she will, you'll see." In her claws she shuffled her tarot cards, the gilt shining in the soft night light. Crescent looked at her own card, Temperance. What did it have to do with her? - She wanted to ask this to her mother. I barely can contain myself yet this is what the fates had decided for me... Beltaine winked at her as she snuggled close. All three heads swerved around as soon as they heard a delicate cracking noise. Crescent excitedly wiggled forward, wanting to see her. Her sister was just like their mother... But the pink filigree that came with her almost gave off a wicked glow. Crescent faltered. A cold dread raced through her chest, almost making her breathless. The other hatchling hadn't opened her eyes yet, but Crescent raked her nails on her father's side, attempting now to hide, to look away. "I can't be with her," she told no one in particular, but Beltaine's ears pricked forward. He nodded. Only once. |
Unable to stay still, Crescent chose the life of a nomad after she felt she had learned all she could from her mother and father. As dictated by the moon she was born under, she did, indeed, have a talent for poisons and potions like no other- perhaps only trumped by her sister, whose very name implied a deadly nature. She held no animosity towards her sister, no, but the wrongness she felt around her never quite went away. She was quick to realize the freedom that wandering gave her felt like a breath of fresh air- like all this time she'd been choking, and only now the oxygen that filled her lungs gave her the energy it was meant to. Settling down in one place just wasn't for her- it felt better, more natural to travel from here to there- where-ever that may be. |
