Backstory: Lunacy was injured while on a hunting trip with his birth clan, and fell behind. He was later found by Thistleclaw and her hunting expedition after he'd been wandering for days on the brink of starvation. Thistleclaw shared her prey with him and brought him back to her clan to heal.
Initially Lunacy thought that this clan must be incredibly strong to be willing to share food with a stranger, so he remained with them for a time to learn their ways and benefit from their strength. Eventually he came to realize that they were actually just a young, growing clan with a generous leader, but by the time he'd come to this conclusion he had grown attached to Thistleclaw and was unsure if he would be able to find his old clan again. He decided to stay with Elif's clan permanently, but gets irritable if forced to stay at the lair for more than a day at a time.
