Backstory: Part of Lunacy and Thistle's second clutch; Tagi is jealous of her sister's position as one of her mother's right-hand hunters, and resents Laurelin's harsh ways. Tagi resolves from a young age to keep her own litter together better, but ends up having two of her brothers leave. By the time she's a young adult she's very bitter about both the hunt and Laurelin, and refuses to become a hunter as most mirrors would. Eventually she decides to become a guard so she can protect the rest of her clan even if she couldn't protect her siblings. She also begins to read Marxist theory because she thinks it will improve the clan's cohesiveness.
