Biography

((Clan Role: Royal General/ Entomologist/ Scholar))

One of the oldest members of the kingdom, he arrived as a hatchling before there was even a library to care for and raise hatchlings. He was a bit of an unruly and hyper sort of hatchling, always racing others.
Wrathorwell was a bit of a nuisance at times, being a sneak and a major insect fanatic.
He loved nothing more than to eavesdrop on others, and would steal away bugs from the hoard when he thought no one was looking.

Now grown, he is a self-proclaimed bug expert and collector, (and a huge nerd). But despite this, he is actually stronger than he appears. He is the clan's primary general after all. And despite him being more awkward and clumsy at times, Wrathorwell is no coward, and would bravely stand to protect his home and those who live in it.
If a lady dragon managed to tolerate his boring conversations, he could actually find a mate.
But the chances seemed pretty slim...and for a long while his status as a lone bachelor was all that distinguished him. Well, that and the fact that he talks to bugs as if they can understand him, and refuses to eat them alive.

However, despite being the strongest in the clan, and the most knowledgeable insect scientist, he has a tough time keeping tabs on current events and often forgets that time has even passed. Though he still is a little bit of a nuisance, and a lonely dragon, he is quite modest and polite, and has a loveable earnestness to him. This had caught the attention of another spiral, one who was persistent in becoming a knight to fight for good and peace.

Much to Wrathorwell's surprise, Wellivia arrived to the clan absolutely smitten by his awkward charm. He was delighted that she didn't even fly off when he began to show her his cricket and cicada collection. She admired the butterflies he knew of and the two spent hours speaking about insects, then flowers, then nature, then elements. Soon enough, Wrathorwell found Wellivia at his side, both in battle and out of it. She seemed persistent in her pursuit of becoming stronger to protect others. Wrathorwell admired her courage and resolve, but what he adored most, was that she was absolutely beautiful, with her wing patterns looking like a tropical beetle, or a caterpillar's markings. That, and she seemed brave enough to hold a giant millipede AND the atlas beetle!

Together they make up the Sheltend family, named for the protective shells of armored insects which assure the safety of small and tender insides. Wrathorwell's daughter Estelle and his son Roviere are the clan's most important torch-keeping dragons, though his boys Westley and Lawrence seem to take after him the most. He seems proud, despite their meddling pranks. Though Gustav has little in common with his father and his obsessions, he looks the most like him. Still, he is tired of his conversations always being turned into insect proverbs and discussions about bug behavior.

Well, who can blame Wrathorwell really? He loves what he loves. Though, imagine having a dad who tries to tell you about his top five favorite grasshoppers, and why, in great detail...during breakfast.
