Children of the Quickdraw Gang grow up in a household-- or as much of a household an encampment comprised of flimsy tents under a sky full of stars can get-- full of what can more or less be described as sheer chaos. Most choose to embrace the same life of crime their parents did but a few do seek a different path, chasing a fate that won't end up with them shot and bleeding out in some deity-forsaken ravine somewhere.

Their parents care little about what each hatchling eventually decides for themselves; this indifferent world will be neither the better nor the worse for it.

Rowe is the only one of her siblings to join her parents in their robberies when she's old enough. On her first big job, though, she screws up. Causes a ruckus, messes up the plan, forces her parents to come save her just as they have all but escaped with their ill-gotten gains. In the ensuing chaos-- their pursuers' fury, the gang's panic-- she makes off with all of the treasure, every last bit of gold, and leaves her parents to deal with the rest. The Quickdraw Gang escapes by the skin of their teeth, and the only thing they find from Rowe is a cheeky note.

Her parents have never been prouder.

And so, Rowe sets out to wander vast Sorineth with quite a hefty head-start. She loses a lot of it rather fast, but it doesn't matter to her. She's a damned good shot and keeps her cool in a fight, and has no qualms killing a dragon for his boots and rifling for his pocket change.

It's not about the treasure to her. It never is. 		x
