ABOUT.
Kidd is the more controlled one of the gang. Compared to Bille and Lurk, they're practically tame. It's no surprise that they manage the 'business', often dealing with the finer points of trade with the clan.

This cool veneer, however, hides a secret far darker than any member of their motley group could ever imagine: before they were a cattle rustler and an outlaw, Kidd was a test subject in a lab deep in the Shifting Expanse. They can barely remember their childhood, which is fortunate, considering that most of it was filled with unimaginable pain. Purposely infected with Shade in a bleeding edge experiment, they soon discovered that not only did the parasite leech away any magic they possessed, it was slowly killing them.

They escaped by the skin of their teeth, fleeing to the one place they knew would accept them for surviving alone: the Scarred Wasteland. It wasn't long before they joined the ragtag team of Lurk, Bille and Wyatt, outlaws and cattle rustlers who owed nothing to no one.

It was the perfect place to start a new life.

Now and again, the parasite wracks their body with pain as it slowly eats away at their magic and physical form, but at least their newfound family knows, and they all make every effort to help them with the infection, scavenging for materials and medicine.

With a childhood like that, Kidd has little to be grateful for. Fortunately, they feel very differently about their family.
