Hatchlings of the Sunsworn Four are, in a word, devout. It doesn’t matter what cause or deity or godsforsaken beliefs they’ve chosen-- it will take no less than divine intervention to lead them astray from their path.

Regardless of what thin line they choose to walk, all are equipped with the necessary monster-slaying and Shade-hunting skills they require. Whether they use these powers for good is another matter entirely.

The Sentinels teach them dedication and loyalty. There is no manual on Sorineth that can teach them to think for themselves.

Broad-shouldered, steely-eyed Alvediel is the very picture of a paladin. As a child, his physique and proficiency in Earth magic saw him scouted, snapped up and trained as a paladin in the ranks of the Sentinels of the Sun.

He trained diligently, obeyed instructions and paid close attention to everything his tutors and mentors taught him. Thrust and parried and blocked till the sword in his claws felt more like an extension of his body than a mere weapon. Stared down eldritch abominations and emperors as he watched the life bleed from their eyes.

And yet...

There's a fragment of doubt forming in Alvediel's mind. A tiny shard that drills holes into his conscience, even as he brings down monsters that would raze Sorineth to the ground given the chance. It eats away at precious hours of sleep, an unscratchable itch beneath his armour.

He's only recently been able to put a name to it: regret. 		x
