Lakila the Scribe
I. Daughter of the dragons who protect the hatchlings, Lakila grew up alongside her siblings knowing it was one day their duty to defend their Empire's young ones. Amaris was the one most likely to follow her mother's footsteps, as she had the passion for hatchlings. Isendra became the heir of Delaney, to soo become the Lady of the Commontry.Lakila became a scribe. II. Writing down visions the seers were given was something she did even before she was out of the nest. A notebook from her father was what she used, and Ren saw potential in her from the beginning. So she was taken under his wing and trained. Lakila ended up being so good that even Rivule recognized her talent, and had her write down his own visions. As such a respected scribe, Lakila's parents were proud of her. She had the respect of everyone in the Empire, but there was something she was still missing. III. Namely, her love for Azigos. She had written about the Coatl in her personal diary, constantly talking about how handsome she found him. It was clear to her sisters that she was in love with him, but Azigos himself didn't know, because every time Lakila tried to talk to him, he would brush her off. Eventually, it was revealed that Azigos had been having an affair with Ambrilia, from the Cascades. It broke Lakila's heart, and she couldn't help but hold severe animosity towards Ambrilia. The only good thing to come out of the situation for her was that Azigos was no longer oblivious to her affections, and he asked her to become his partner. Lakila knew he was only doing it to prove his loyalty, but her love for him was too much so she accepted. Over time, Azigos truly came to respect Lakila and her work, admitting her cared for her in a way he never cared for Ambrilia. |
