Arcana Central might be held together by the common sense of ambitions and desires; clans though, are the ones funding diplomats behind the scenes, dabbling in the politics of a city and in constant war over prestige and power. This makes them naturally susceptible to sabotage, which happened to the Clan of White Roses some time ago. Though, the one dragon left unscathed was the then young heir of her now dissolved clan, Gwen; mysteriously, all other members have either disappeared or died under strange circumstances that led to no body ever being discovered. Naturally, all eyes were on the young hatchling and the wealthy inheritance that seemed tacked onto her. So, as what she thought was a fun little escapade and departure from her cushy life, Gwen was left running amok in the alleyways of Arcana Central, dodging assassins and kidnappers on the daily and trying to ignore the life and money she left behind. And as Gwen grew closer to other hatchlings on the streets(though never truly close), she get more and more invested with helping others and grew more distant from her naturally given title. And when Gwen was finally content enough to settle down in a house of her own, does she flaunt her wealth freely, yet still pursues philanthropy.

Yalia was one of the only dragons Gwen grew close with in her time homeless. And though Yalia knew of her identity, she never pressured Gwen to use her money. It was only when Yalia got injured did Gwen actually use her inheritance on her, much to Yalia's displeasure.
