Prosa of Galehart
the Library Assistant
With a disarming presence and the scent of spring trailing her, Prosa is one of the sweetest dragons in all of Valhall. Her smile can melt the morning frost, stealing the hearts of the masses, and her gentle touch and steady hands keeps her at the forefront of her fields.

______MY LOVE SHALL MISS MY SWEETEST KISS

A curious case of oddities and coincidences; when she passes by, a touch of summer's breeze swirl the freshly fallen snow even in the coldest of nights.

The basic rules of the universe doesn't appear to apply entirely to Prosa. Delicate like crystal ice, her soft soul and gentle demeanour doesn't make for a notable fighter, but it makes her an excellent healer. Her heart truly belongs to the Bibliotheca, but she's no stranger around the Lyfjaberg, and Saga greets her fondly now. When she steps into the quiet south ward, where all the recovering dragons rest under the critical eyes of the healers, it's as if the temperature rises a few scarce degrees, and the scent of fresh flowers follow her everywhere.

One can only wonder if it's an aspect of her natural magical talents, for they are vast and impressive without a doubt, but no matter the reason it is an undeniable fact that Prosa's presence radiates peace and love.

Yet beneath her beautiful smile and careful touches, something far more sinister bubbles.

She's too kind, some will say with worry in their eyes. They'll know something is off about her, yet won't be able to pinpoint what it is, not quite. But it's like an itch at the back of one's neck, constant and lingering, unable to be ignored once you notice it's there. Though they'll wonder and ponder, surely Valhall is all the better for it, or the magic of the land would have cast her out long ago. Wouldn't it?

No matter the unsettling aftertaste of her presence, she is a mellow creature. She's terrible with all things rough and tough, from conflict to fights to pranks, and one has to wonder what paths led her to the deepest south where the warriors prowled. And some have asked, this is true, but none have gotten more that a sly smile and a shrug on the matter.

No matter how soft or gentle, Prosa knows to keep a secret, her own most of all, and she's one of the most reliable dragons around for those wishing to share. She's one of the few able to coax even the hardest, toughest warriors into opening up and sharing how they're feeling to let off some steam in a decently healthy way; without her, it's very likely there would be a lot more anger issues on the regular.

If it is an aspect of her natural magical talents or not, it is true that dragons often feel obliged to spill their tales to her. When asked about it, many will answer they don't know why they shared a single thing with her- yet, Prosa will walk away with all their deepest secrets regardless.

» Spends a significant amount of time volunteering in the Lyfjaberg, honing her healing magics as much as she can. One of the few allowed to study directly under Saga.

» Fancies herself somewhat of a scholar, too, and spends as much time researching her own passions in the Bibliotheca as she does doing her regular duties for Mimir.

» One of the founding members of the Experimental Magic Division, which dedicate their time to perfecting and developing new spells and crafts for the Makligr.

» Is rumoured to have worked alongside Aasmund at some point in time, though no one has been able to confirm it. Given her secretive nature, most think it's entirely possible.

It was said the Fates brought dragons together, sometimes, and many would say it was the case with Kvasir and Prosa. Bonding so quickly, and deeply, the two of them rarely spent a moment together idle. Sharing hobbies and talents, they were friends first of all, but it turned to something warmer as the nights grew longer. And it was love, burning and glimmering, which marked the beginning of a whole new adventure for them both.

A touch of summer's breeze and freshly fallen snow, delicate like crystal ice; Prosa is no fighter, her soul soft and demeanor mild. She's terrible with all things rough and tough, be it conflict or fighting or pranks, and one has to wonder how she ended up living in a clan full of warriors in the frigid, deepest chill of the Icefields. Which would be a good question, too, and one she's not very inclined to answer on even the best of days.

Often it is good, but it is obvious that there is sinister potential bubbling beneath the surface of Prosa's friendly smile and gentle words. Many say she appears to be too kind, something slightly off about her they can't identify, but never have anyone been able to prove there's anything to those rumors. And so she continues on with her days, leaving behind little but an itch of the mind and thoughtful frowns in her wake, and Valhall is surely better for it.

Prosa's past is a well guarded mystery- frankly, nobody even recalls the moment when she first appeared. It was as if, one day, she was simply there and always had been. Nobody knew how long she'd even been there when someone finally asked her about it. And instead of replying, as one would have expected, she'd merely smiled and absently offered an excuse of needing to get back to work.

Whilst they may all wonder, Prosa has no intention of ever sharing. It is not that her past is horrid, nor that it is something the fears they would judge her for, but it is hers, mostly. Her past, her business, her choice to leave it all behind. And most do respect this, no matter how strange they all find it. Dragons that hide their past tend to hide it because there's something in dire need of hiding there, after all, and secrets can be dangerous. It's only normal they wonder whether or not Prosa hides secrets that can be a threat to them all- to her own surprise, it was Kvasir that came to her aid first.

She knew she'd barely been there for a few weeks when the older Wildclaw cut into an unwilling conversation she'd found herself in after dinner, one night, and he'd frowned at the dragons inquiring about her origins yet again. A regular, if frustrating occurrence, and one Prosa couldn't do much about on her lonesome.

Leave her be, now, Kvasir had nigh on ordered, surprisingly firm despite his general insecurities. If Tyr trust her, and he does, then so do we. Do you not trust our Allfather?

Quick to defend themselves and reaffirm their trust in the Allfather, of course, they'd backed off. Had left her to her own musings, that night, and it was the first night Prosa was able to relax entirely around the fire pit alongside her fellow clanmates. However, Kvasir sat with her as the fire burned into smoldering embers, the two becoming fast friends after that. Bonding over common loves of books and knowledge, of a passion for the arcane arts, they grew closer and closer. Not only did they share a set of colors, which Prosa hadn't even noticed at the time when her scales had been plain and without pattern, but they were kindred souls in many a way. Talented in their fields, treasuring knowledge in a way most dragons never would, and finding their peace among endless pages in the Bibliotheca- two souls come together, perhaps even guided by the Fates, to find solace side by side.

Truly, what more could she ever have asked for? What more could a dragon need than a warm den, a loyal clan, and an endless supply of books one could never hope to fully explore?
