As a hatchling, Kaitou saw the potential in Takeshi and had him whisked away for the clan. With time and training, he has become a dragon to be reckoned with. He has a bit of a sadistic streak within him, taking pleasure in ripping things apart.

One of his duties involves assisting with Shun's training. He lowkey loathes the mirror, feeling that he personally makes for a better successor to the clan. He believes there is a sort of weakness in Shun that others aren't seeing. It's difficult to say how much of that is envy and how much is his actual perception of how things are.
