Shiro is loyal to both Kaitou, and the clan as a whole. However, he doesn't always agree with his methods, finding a number of them particularly cruel. Regardless, he owes the leader his life and will carry out what orders he receives. He hasn't personally received any backlash from him anyway.

Within the shadow arts, he specializes in healing.

He was the one who found Kurome and helped nurse her back to health. Shiro has since grown attached to the Skydancer.
