There is AWESOME lore potential: Looks like her family line is ALMOST pure Light Guardians, even with the breed changes in consideration. With the divergence being pure nature faes. What if Grandma Poinsettia, the nature fae of her lineage, went to the light realm for help as had the plague curse. Grandpa Clothos, as a guardian, was loyal to the idea of helping others be true to their natures. They did a great deal of magic-based testing in the shadow realms, partly for all the foliage there and partly because the "curse" could be seen as a "blessing" by taking out some of the tricky shadow foliage. Hence her birth in the shadow lands. Then she goes to arcane to continue to carry out the studies, and is eventually drawn by fascination to the Plague Oasis.
