He tends to forget that not everyone he talks to can keep up with the conversation and can sometimes end up ranting about how elemental Plague magic interacts with and reinforces the structural integrity of virus cells it comes into contact with. Alden will sometimes work in his lab until he drops because he exhausted himself to the point of passing out. He ties himself in knots while waiting for experiments to finish because he has to give them his full attention. ╰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╯There have been whisperings from those living on the edge of town that cloaked figures come from the woods at night to walk among the streets, with strange figures made from bundled sticks showing up on doorsteps the next morning. Dragons have been having strange dreams of a faceless entity with blood-slicked fur and branches growing from its very bones. The figure gives off the same malevolent energy as the deeper parts of the woods. Fearing what this meant, Alden paid a visit to Arion, a seer who washed up on shore not long after Alden and Vega did.
