S U M M A R Y

Yuuya Sakazaki is the brother of Sakuya Le Bel Shirogane. He is infamous in Valentia for being somewhat of a flirt. Many in the clan would call Yuuya a ladies' man and some would call him a hopeless romantic. Despite his shameless flirting, Yuuya has a strong sense of chivalry, going so far as to turn up at a meeting place as much as a few hours early so as to "never keep a lady waiting." Some in the clan know Yuuya better and are privy to the depths of his personality. These close friends are the only ones Yuuya will tell what's truly on his mind.

Yuuya sometimes says things about himself in a self-deriding way, but others never knows how to respond because he's always so cheerful. Even when conversing about dangerous situations or wounds in battle, Yuuya's tone of voice is as carefree as ever; the only indicator that he isn't joking is the seriousness in his eyes. Yuuya's mother eloped with his father, away from her arranged marriage with the Le Bels. However, Yuuya's father was then assassinated by Monsieur Le Bel and his mother was forced to marry him.

The Le Bels agreed to adopt Yuuya into a branch family, but only if her second son, Sakuya, was killed in his egg. Yuuya's mother, unable to kill Sakuya, then gave Sakuya's egg to Yuuya to dispose of. Yuuya, however, secretly swapped Sakuya with his real Le Bel half brother's egg so that Sakuya may live. The real Le Bel egg was then smashed by Yuuya. Yuuya has harboured the guilt of murdering his half brother ever since. Despite the way Sakuya treats him, Yuuya has kept the truth of his brother's lineage a secret.

The two found work in Etruria, where Yuuya for his bright mind and hunger for knowledge had landed him the position as lady Anja's retainer. The two spend countless hours studying and researching together working through problems to create new medical research.
