S U M M A R Y

Anja is one of the most important and influential members of the clan, and that's something she knows very well. As Etruria's queen, she knows she can't afford to make mistakes, and as such, everything Anja does is done to perfection. She has a very meticulous nature and is precise in her decision making. While she may consider herself a perfect individual, Anja is not without her flaws.

She expects no less than the best from everyone else, and as such she can be unapproachable or even come across as cold or aloof at times. If you aren't good enough for her, she won't waste her time with you. It's not that she doesn't care for those she considers to be inferior, she simply fears that putting her faith in them could be a mistake and bring harm to Etruria or her people. Amalthea is her closest companion, which only makes sense since they see each other so often and have so much in common. Anja spends a lot of her free time in Caelin with Amalthea.

Usually the two will visit the nursery and regale the hatchlings with history lessons. She, like Amalthea, loves sharing her knowledge with others. Anja is always on top of things and is known to keep schedules and backup schedules in multiple places throughout house Etruria. Anja also does her best to ensure that her husband Quintavius takes care of his responsibilities as well. Anja met Quin by chance when she was passing through the Southern Icefield, working as a messenger for her previous clan. She had taken a break in Etruria on her trek back home, and happened to run into Quin. She immediately felt drawn to him, and the two became fast friends. Through meeting Quin, her life changed drastically, but only for the better. Anja's past before meeting Quintavius is something she doesn't discuss very often.

She grew up in the Mirrorlight Promenade and has very few fond memories of the place. Her work as messenger allowed her an escape, but she always dreaded having to return. When she met Quin and felt his genuine kindness as he introduced her to everyone in Etruria, she knew she wasn't going to return home. She tells Quin so often that she loves him to the moon and back; their relationship is something of a gold standard to the other couples within Valentia, and while it's often joked about, it's a very pure and genuine love that many long for. When she isn't otherwise occupied, Anja tries to spend time with her daughter, Chanel, but Chanel has done her best to distance herself from her family. When they do speak, it usually ends in Anja scolding Chanel for whatever trouble she's gotten into recently, and Chanel storming off in a huff. Anja does try her best to keep Chanel's attitude in check, but Chanel does her best to stay as far away from her mother and father as possible. Anja wishes she and her daughter were closer more than anything else.

As a noble of the prestigious house Etruria, Anja is very aware of how she must act with poise and grace at all times. She always has her nose in a book or an old tome, constantly looking into better methods of healing magic. She has made it her life's goal to make a difference in Valentia through her research in an effort to garner love and appreciation from her people.
