As the name of their profession suggests, Xanna and Ash work with light itself: capturing it, manipulating it, fixing it in tangible form. They make lanterns, yes, and glowing stones, but also explosives and reservoirs of great magical power -- for what can be stronger than sunlight, the force which ultimately feeds all Sornieth? They make weapons to smite the undead and unholy, and sometimes they make unholy things themselves. They also make children, and teach them their craft. As a child, Isabeau loved to spend her time down by the local harbor, watching all the ships come back and forth, their sails belling out in the wind, sunshine sparkling on the water. When she started to learn Lightsmithing, she turned that maritime fascination into her specialization: she crafts sails and even whole ships that catch sunlight instead of wind, propelling themselves through the water with astonishing speed. With such a name as Godhunters, you'd expect the organization to not utilize a mundane sense of travel like, Eleven forbid, their own appendages! But that's what they did before Isabeau came to them (and still do when an assignment is close enough.) The Lightsmith, traveling to improve her craft and spread awareness of her beautiful ships and family's skill, stumbled upon the Sentry Diedre (who scared her half out of her wits due to her impressive camouflage) and was invited to the base to introduce herself. The Godhunters were instantly intrigued by her skill and her ability and offered to give Isabeau a workshop in their base. The largest and newest compound in the civilian's center, the sounds of metalworking and bright flashes of golden light are a new but comforting routine. The noise is rhythmic and sometimes you can see a Hunter dancing to it as they go about their business. Luckily, Isabeau doesn't work during the night often, but sometimes other nearby clans comment on the "fireworks." Of course, you may ask her: "Why choose to settle in a land that's known to be dry and not really need a ship?" To which Isabeau replies: "How better to improve and learn than by challenging yourself every day?" At the moment, she's thriving in the challenge of creating a kind of Sandship, able to sail across the moors and dry plateaus in Dragonhome, and a ship that has a skeleton that can become compact enough to fit within a coin-sized container. Isabeau is also planning to create what she has deemed Sunships, those that fly and powered by the sun as all her other beautiful creations are. Isabeau is constantly sharing her bright and optimistic personality as well as her ships for any dragon that may need them. The Lightsmith is one of the most outgoing dragons in the Godhunters and is always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Rising to any challenge placed upon her, Isabeau is always pushing to improve herself and others around her. At the moment, she's challenged herself with the Alchemist Menus, who's often seen threatening Baldwin and muttering into his brew about not getting the correct colors. |
