Yes, the rope is magic; no, I'm not a mage. Stop asking.

Biography

Shipwright Paulie Graham

*Works/Fights best when given some rope, don't get caught
*Very trusting (Until being betrayed, yes this is planned for later-probs with Wicked Folly crew)
*Very loyal, empathy is his middle name
*Works alongside Isabeau, building the more practical pieces and skeletons of her impressive sun-powered masterpieces
*Ship: Blue Bayou, his ship in a bottle (a gift)
*Takes an attack for Isabeau, allowing her to escape during said betrayal, leaving himself at the mercy of Wicked Folly for an unspecified amount of time

*Paulie is proud to be the closest and most trusted of Isabeau herself. He also shows a prudish outlook on the way many others dress, often being called an overly shy drake, and those that know him enjoy showing off their scales, skin, fur, and feathers to show off when they are in the company of Paulie, laughing at his often scandalized and furious responses. Eluf and Lucci especially enjoy this response, but for differing reasons.

*As one of the Lightsmith's foremen, Paulie is an extraordinarily skilled shipwright, though with customer service that's quite often...too polite with rude individuals. They get offended by how blasé he acts when they're "rightfully complaining"!

*Aside from his shipwright skills, Paulie possesses formidable physical and fighting capabilities. He has shown himself to be several times stronger than common Skydancers: effortlessly slammed many members of the Wasteland Family (the mafia) onto one another with just two ropes and the sheer strength of his arms, and he also pulled a "giant" (Obelisk, Ridgeback, or Imperial) to the ground with a similar method. He can throw ropes against his enemies in a straight line with enough blunt power to defeat them with a single blow, and was able to open one of the two gigantic wings of the Godhunter's stronghold doors alone and heavily injured.

*He seems to be highly resistant and resilient, as he took a full beating from Wicked Folly members and was able to stand back up in mere moments; the injuries he suffered apparently healed in a very short period of time (or more likely, ignored through sheer stubborn force.)

*Paulie is also very acrobatic and agile, as he leaped off one of the Godhunter's high bridges and landed on a mast without a scratch. This could be due to his mastery of the air, but without seeing him in flight, you'd never believe that Paulie is the best flier in the Lightsmith's employ.

*Rope Time*

*Paulie has a unique fighting style; making use of an intricate array of acrobatics combined with rigging techniques that employ a complicated use of ropes that appear from what seems like nowhere. It is also versatile since the ropes enable him to increase the reach of his attacks - be it long-ranged, mid-ranged, or even melee - and even attack multiple targets at once, giving Paulie an advantage in battle, be it group combat or one-on-one.

*The amount of rope he carries is immense and measures hundreds, if not thousands of meters, as he was actually able to make a huge, complex rope-work in a split-second to save people from falling off a bridge. The amount of rope that he uses as a weapon and brings with himself all the time never seems to run out, since he has been known to pull out yards upon yards from time to time.

*The rope seems unbreakable, especially by how versatile Paulie is able to utilize it. Weight doesn't seem to bother the woven lines, but it will still fray and can be cut, even if sawing at it for hours seems to make no progress.

*When he attacks, the ropes generally snake their way towards his opponents and wrap around the target. Typically weaving his ropes into patterns that help him to either ensnare foes or restrain their movements, this strategy makes them more vulnerable to incoming attacks. Paulie can also use his ropes outside of battle and does often, as seen when he successfully deceived the Mafia that he had already been captured when in reality, he deliberately tied himself up with his own ropes and was just waiting for the right time to release himself.
