 FARADAY MAC THAME SPY FOR THE INFORMATION DIVISION ENGINEER, SCIENTIST «- - - - - - - - - - - - - ❖ - - - - - - - - - - - - -» A native of the Expanse, Faraday Mac Thame was once a very successful and prestigious engineer and scientist, an absolute whiz who was about two steps removed from working for the Stormcatcher himself. He was at the top of his game, able to bend red tape around him like dancer's silk. This didn't make him particularly popular considering that he cared very little about being a team player and a lot more about doing fun things. Whilst incredibly intelligent, he has always been what others might call a little ditzy. He would eventually be consumed by a personal project: an android created to both watch over the Spire but be capable of learning, combat, and anything else. He succeeded in creating said android: IMUGI. It was a scant few weeks before IMUGI was found and seized and Faraday was unceremoniously exiled. The Syndicate found him as he was being shaken down. He didn't really seem to notice, but still. He's an eccentric- he can talk to you about theoretical physics, the intersection of magic and technology, the circuitry needed to fix fatal brain injuries, but he also can't tie his shoelaces. Or remember to turn off the oven. He's a good man, incredibly genuine and compassionate. His intuition is wonderful and he's a bold man to boot, far more of a people person now thanks to some, uh, pointers from his friends. It makes him a surprisingly good spy- when he's not tinkering with electronics, that is.
